What does the Keyword Density Checker measure?
The Keyword Density Checker extracts visible text from pasted HTML or analyzes plain text, then reports total and unique words, exact target-phrase occurrences, and ranked one-word, two-word, and three-word phrases. Optional filters remove common words and very short terms from discovery tables without changing exact target-phrase counts.
Density is shown as phrase occurrences divided by total analyzed words. It is a descriptive review signal, not a universal ranking target. The tool does not crawl a live URL, estimate rankings, judge topical authority, or recommend repeating a phrase to reach a fixed percentage.
How to review keyword frequency
- Paste the page copy or HTML source. HTML analysis removes script, style, template, SVG, and noscript content before counting visible text.
- Optionally add comma-separated or line-separated target phrases. Choose the minimum discovery-word length and whether common words should be excluded.
- Review the overview, exact target coverage, and one-to-three-word phrase tables. Use the search filter to inspect a specific term or phrase.
- Confirm the report when the content is final, choose Text, CSV, or JSON, and use Copy report. The first copy requests the existing one-time rating for this tool; no download button is shown.
Benefits of the density review workflow
- Analyze plain copy or extract visible text from pasted HTML without uploading the content.
- Count exact target phrases separately so stop-word and minimum-length filters never hide planned wording.
- Compare one-word, two-word, and three-word frequency tables with exact counts and transparent percentages.
- Use a cautious repetition signal that prompts editorial review without claiming an ideal SEO density.
- Copy the exact visible Text, CSV, or JSON report after the existing one-time rating flow; the unreliable Download action is intentionally removed.
Keyword Density Checker FAQ
What is keyword density?
This tool calculates density as the number of exact phrase occurrences divided by the total analyzed word count, multiplied by 100. Other tools may use different formulas, especially for multi-word phrases.
Is there an ideal keyword density for SEO?
No universal percentage is recommended by this tool. A useful page should answer the reader clearly and use terminology naturally; density is only a prompt for editorial review.
How is pasted HTML handled?
The browser parses the markup and removes script, style, noscript, template, and SVG content before reading body text. It does not execute pasted code or fetch external resources.
Do filters affect target phrases?
No. Stop-word and minimum-length filters affect discovery n-gram tables only. Exact target phrases are counted against the complete normalized word sequence.
Why is there no Download button?
This workstation uses one reliable Copy report action for Text, CSV, and JSON. The existing rating gate is attached to the first Copy instead of an unreliable download flow.
Is my content uploaded?
The Pro workstation parses, counts, filters, previews, and prepares copyable reports in the browser. The rating submission contains the tool route and selected star rating, not the analyzed content.
