What is the GEO Content Checker?
The GEO Content Checker is a transparent editorial audit for pasted content. It scores five practical dimensions: answer clarity, evidence support, entity context, usable structure, and trust context. The Answer Lens also surfaces standalone answer candidates, missing question coverage, numeric claims that may need nearby support, and detected source domains.
The score is not live AI visibility, ranking, mention, or citation data. The browser-side tool does not query generative engines, crawl a page, verify a source, test originality, or predict whether any system will cite the content. For Google Search, established SEO and people-first content guidance remains relevant to generative AI features; no special GEO markup or fixed AI content length is required.
How to audit content for GEO readiness
- Enter the primary topic or question, intended audience, content type, and important people, products, standards, organizations, places, or concepts that must be unambiguous.
- Paste at least 40 words of plain text, Markdown, or HTML. The format is detected locally and scripts, styles, and templates are ignored when HTML is analyzed.
- Review the five dimension scores and fix failed checks before lower-impact warnings. The score rewards useful signals rather than keyword repetition or artificial AI-only writing.
- Use Answer Lens to inspect standalone answer candidates, question coverage, source domains, and numeric claims whose nearby paragraph does not show a link or attribution phrase.
- Confirm the final state, then copy or download the exact report as text, CSV, or JSON. Continue to AEO Question Generator only when the missing question coverage would genuinely help the audience.
Benefits of this GEO content audit
- See a transparent 100-point breakdown instead of an unexplained promise that a higher score will cause AI citations.
- Check whether the opening names the topic, a concise answer can stand alone, and useful follow-up needs such as process, comparison, limitations, and evidence are covered.
- Inventory source domains and review material numbers, percentages, dates, benchmarks, and measurements that may lack nearby attribution.
- Compare supplied entities with the actual content, inspect definition sentences, and improve ambiguous products, standards, people, places, organizations, or concepts.
- Review headings, paragraph shape, lists, tables, question sections, sentence length, ownership, freshness, first-party method, caveats, and absolute promotional claims from one live state.
- Export the same current audit shown in the preview and carry the topic, audience, and missing coverage into AEO Question Generator without an empty-tool handoff.
GEO Content Checker FAQ
Does the score show whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Bing, or Google cites my page?
No. It is a deterministic editorial heuristic based only on the pasted content and supplied context. Actual visibility requires separate engine or webmaster performance data.
Does Google require special GEO markup or an llms.txt file?
Google says its established SEO guidance remains relevant to generative AI features and does not require special GEO markup. Google also states that llms.txt is not used for Google Search visibility. Other services may make different choices.
Does content need a fixed number of words or tiny AI chunks?
No. The tool has a 40-word minimum only so its own checks have enough context. It does not enforce an ideal publishing length or tiny chunks, because useful length and structure depend on the audience and task.
How does the evidence gap check work?
It finds sentences containing numeric detail and checks their nearby paragraph for a source link or attribution pattern. This is a limited heuristic: it cannot verify that the source is correct, relevant, primary, or authoritative.
Can the tool verify entity authority or knowledge graph coverage?
No. It checks whether the important entities you supplied are named and whether key concepts appear to be defined. It does not query a knowledge graph or verify external authority.
Can the tool detect original or helpful content?
It can notice explicit tests, methods, examples, cases, first-party observations, limitations, and ownership signals. A human must still judge originality, accuracy, usefulness, and real experience.
Why are absolute claims flagged?
Guarantees and superlatives often need strong evidence and careful qualification. The checker asks for review; it does not automatically decide that every flagged phrase is false.
Is my content uploaded?
The Pro workstation parses, scores, previews, and exports the content in the browser. The optional same-tab AEO handoff uses short-lived session storage for the topic and settings.
