What is the PDF to JPG Converter?
This PDF to JPG converter rasterizes each selected PDF page into a standalone JPEG image. It preserves the complete visible page layout, including text, vector artwork, photos, rotations, backgrounds, and optional annotations.
The selected-page preview and final JPG use the same PyMuPDF renderer, DPI, quality, grayscale, annotation, and background settings. You can download one page at a time or save every converted page in a ZIP file.
How to convert PDF pages to JPG
- Choose or drop one PDF. If it is protected, enter the password you already know.
- Enter all pages or a range such as 1-3,5,8-10.
- Choose the output DPI and JPEG quality. Optional grayscale, annotations, and page background controls update the preview.
- Use the page navigator to inspect the exact JPG renderer output and pixel dimensions.
- Select Convert to JPG, then download pages individually or save the complete ZIP.
Why use this JPG-specific PDF converter?
- Export only the pages you need instead of converting the whole document.
- Balance clarity and file size with 72 to 300 DPI and 40 to 100 JPEG quality.
- Preview with the same renderer and settings used by the downloaded JPG.
- Flatten transparent page areas onto your chosen JPG background color.
- Download readable zero-padded page names separately or in one ZIP.
PDF to JPG converter FAQ
Which DPI should I choose?
96 DPI is suitable for quick screen sharing, 150 DPI is a balanced default, 200 DPI keeps finer document detail, and 300 DPI is intended for high-resolution use. Higher DPI creates larger files.
What JPEG quality is recommended?
Quality 88 is a strong general default. Use 70 to 82 for smaller files or 92 to 100 when fine text, maps, and diagrams matter more than file size.
Can I convert selected pages only?
Yes. Use individual pages and ranges such as 1,3,5-8. Open-ended ranges such as 4- and -6 are also supported after the PDF is inspected.
Does it support password-protected PDFs?
Yes, when you know the document password and the PDF permits rendering. The password is used only for the current request and is not stored.
Why does JPG not preserve transparency?
JPEG has no alpha channel. Transparent PDF page areas are flattened onto the background color you choose, white by default.
Are files kept permanently?
No. Uploads and generated downloads are temporary, and old files are automatically removed during normal tool activity.
