Click the trash button on a thumbnail to mark it. Marked pages remain visible and can be restored before processing.
This is the original kept PDF page rendered in its exact new output position.
What does the PDF page remover do?
This tool creates a new PDF without the pages you mark for removal. Choose pages from visual thumbnails, enter individual pages or combined ranges, or use quick odd, even, first, and last-page selections.
Kept pages are copied from the original PDF page tree rather than converted into images. Existing text, vector graphics, metadata, links, page sizes, and rotations remain in PDF form. A remaining-page preview shows the exact source page that will occupy each output position.
How to delete pages from a PDF
- Choose or drop one readable PDF up to 32 MB and enter its password if required.
- Click thumbnail trash buttons, or enter pages such as 2, 5-8, 12- and choose Apply.
- Use odd, even, first, or last shortcuts when useful. Undo the previous selection or restore every page at any time.
- Switch to Remaining PDF Preview and inspect the kept pages in their exact output order.
- Choose Remove Selected Pages and download the verified PDF copy.
Remove only the pages you intend
- Load page thumbnails in small batches so long PDFs remain responsive.
- Keep marked pages visible with a clear red removal state until the final file is created.
- Prevent deletion of every page because a valid PDF must retain at least one page.
- Preserve the original password protection by default when an encrypted PDF is used.
- Receive a warning before editing a digitally signed PDF because any content change invalidates existing signatures.
Delete PDF pages FAQ
Can deleted pages be restored before download?
Yes. Use Undo for the previous selection change or Restore all pages to clear every removal mark before creating the PDF.
Can I delete all pages from a PDF?
No. At least one page must remain, and both the interface and server enforce that rule.
Does removing pages reduce the quality of the remaining pages?
No. Kept pages remain PDF content and are not rebuilt from preview thumbnails.
Will bookmarks and links still work?
PyMuPDF updates the page tree and related internal references when pages are removed. Links on kept pages remain, although links aimed only at deleted content may no longer have a valid destination.
What happens to digital signatures?
Deleting pages changes the document, so existing digital signatures will no longer validate. The tool warns when a signed PDF is detected.
Can protected PDFs be edited?
Yes, when you provide the correct password and the document permits processing. Original encryption can be retained in the downloaded copy.
