Convert structured JSON into a reviewable CSV table
Convert a JSON object, array of records, nested record array, or newline-delimited JSON into tabular CSV while discovering columns across every record.
Use dot or bracket paths for nested objects and choose whether arrays remain JSON cells, join primitive values, or expand into additional rows.
How to convert JSON to CSV
- Paste JSON, open or drop a local file up to 5 MB, or load a nested, array, JSON Lines, or escaping example.
- Choose Auto detect, JSON document, or JSON Lines and select a nested record path when required.
- Choose nested-key notation, array handling, delimiter, quote policy, line endings, header, formula protection, and optional BOM.
- Review up to 100 rows and 50 columns in the live table, then inspect exact CSV text and detected column metadata.
- Include, exclude, or reorder columns before copying or downloading the exact full CSV.
Control nested data without guessing the CSV result
- Discover headers across all converted records so fields that appear after the first object are not silently omitted.
- Preserve arrays as JSON, join primitive tags into one cell, or expand object arrays into rows with a visible row count and a 50,000-row safety limit.
- Generate delimiter-aware, quote-safe CSV with doubled embedded quotes and configurable CRLF or LF line endings.
- Detect spreadsheet formula-like strings and optionally prefix them without changing numeric negative values.
- Process JSON, build previews, and create downloads locally without uploading data or requesting remote URLs.
JSON to CSV FAQ
How are nested objects converted?
Nested keys become dot or bracket paths and missing properties become empty CSV cells.
What happens to JSON arrays?
Arrays can remain JSON strings, primitive arrays can join into one cell, or arrays can expand into additional output rows.
Does it support JSON Lines?
Yes. Auto detect accepts valid newline-delimited records, and explicit JSON Lines mode reports the failing record and exact input line.
How are commas and quotes escaped?
Fields containing the selected delimiter, quotes, or line breaks are enclosed in double quotes, and embedded double quotes are doubled.
Why protect spreadsheet formulas?
Untrusted strings beginning with equals, plus, minus, or at-sign can be interpreted as formulas by spreadsheet software. Optional protection adds a leading apostrophe.
Does the table preview include every row?
The table renders up to 100 rows and 50 columns for performance. Metrics, CSV output, copy, and download use every converted row and selected column.
Are files uploaded?
No. Files are read and converted locally in the browser and are not sent to the server.
